LEAD for Racial Justice

Our Legal Education, Advocacy and Defense (LEAD) for Racial Justice Initiative strengthens our collective resolve to advance racial justice by offering clear legal analysis, virtual and in-person trainings, organizational assessment tools, and technical assistance to community and philanthropic partners.

Black LA Relief and Recovery Fund

Launched in partnership with the California Community Foundation, the Black LA Relief and Recovery Fund supports organizations meeting the immediate needs of Black families impacted by the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires while also investing in organizing and building the local power needed to advance a community-led vision for recovery.

Chinedu Valentine Okobi Sabbatical Program

Honoring the life and legacy of Chinedu Valentine Okobi, whose life was tragically cut short by an act of state violence, the Sabbatical Program supports healing, rest, and joy for leaders of Black power-building and racial justice organizations.
